Biography of Francisco Araiza

Mexican tenor; He was born in Mexico City on October 4, 1950. He studied at the Conservatory of his hometown with Irma González and debuted with only twenty years as Jaquino in Fidelio by Beethoven. From 1974, he studied at the Musikhochschule in Berlin with Erik Werba and Richard Holm. It has belonged to the casts of operas of Karlsruhe and Zurich and has participated in the festivals of Aix-en-Provence (COSI fan Tutte by Mozart in 1977 and 1980), Bayreuth (pilot of the Dutch Errante in 1978 and 1979) and Salzburg (COSI fan Tutte in 1982). Equipped with a beautiful light tenor voice, he has excelled in Mozart roles and rossinianos (Il Viaggio a Reims and Tancredi, Semiramis, etc.)
